  I just want you to know that thanks to your letter, I’ve been able to finally move on with my life, and you were right…love is rare, and we should never take it for granted. I know you’ve made terrible mistakes, but as much as I’m big in loyalty and honesty, I get it. I wish you would have chosen us, but I get why you must have been confused. Life is full of little moments that determine our faith, and sometimes we don’t realize where those moments end up taking us. For you, unfortunately, it is far away from us.

  I’ve had to live my whole life wondering where you were and why you didn’t love me. Although I realize now that it wasn’t that simple, it still hurts. But I forgive you. I never truly thought I could say or write these words, no matter how much time passed. But now that I feel whole and truly know what it is like to be loved, I can, and I hope you can find that for yourself too.

  I can’t say that I’m ready to see you anytime soon, but I know that when I think of you now, I no longer feel like I want to cry, and I think that is progress. I’ve unconsciously loved you so deeply my whole life, and only now I am letting myself feel that freely. Don’t lose hope in me, and perhaps we will finally reunite one day if it’s meant to be.
